After a very busy last week, with Thanksgiving (yes, even though I'm Australia, having lived in the US for a number of years, my family loves the tradition) and we always have the full turkey dinner ... also a wedding anniversary to celebrate (the whole family went out to the very hip Sketch restaurant in London) ... plus birthday and christmas present shopping ...
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend ... I thought I'd share a few images I took while in Glasgow on the weekend. We had so much fun, met some wonderful people, helped a few charities and danced the night away.
Its that time of the year again .... The Scottish Ball ... the Ceilidh (Kayleigh), which I've posted about before here.
We fly up to Glasgow each year for a bit of a 'fling' and a lot of fun.
I really want to try and visit The Corinthian Club which the wonderful Sarah from Haute Design posted about while we are there ... maybe for a post Ceilidh breakfast!
Good morning everyone ... I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
It was bonfire weekend here in the UK and we had a lot of fun watching the fireworks display on Saturday night ... Welcomed home my husband and daughter on Sunday ... and thought I needed to post a few more interiors, as I've been a little fashion obsessed lately.
I absolutely fell in love with this dining area, as I flicked through the latest Australian e-magazine Ivy and Piper. Congratulations to the beautiful aussie designers Melanie Parker and Elizabeth Raptis, I wish you every success!
The dining room above, from the San Francisco design team MWM, ticks all my boxes. Great colour palette, quirky furniture (have you noticed the base of table) and those gorgeous orange chairs, fabulous wallpaper and window treatment and the feeling of a traditional dining room - but with a fresh modern twist.
I love the soothing palette of soft greys and browns of this Manhattan loft that belongs to the London couple, Harriet Maxwell Macdonald and Andrew Corrie ... also the owners of the NY store Ochre.
The tufted lilac sofa (rescued from a grandmother's barn in Scotland) in the living room is just perfect ...
Happy Friday everyone :)
(Can't wait for the weekend as my husband and Daughter #2 get back from Australia)
