100% Design 2011 ...

Some things that caught my attention at 100% Design yesterday ....

I'm in love with the simplicity of the 'Convertible Table' from TuttoTondo Design ... especially great for small spaces, this table is multi-functional and has a very cool 50's feel about it. Once the lid is closed, you can leave everything as is inside the workstation and transform it into a dining table that can comfortably sit up to 6 people.

A little light humour ...

These 'Big Big Bling Necklace' lights add a little humour to your interior and are from the very talented Penelope Batley

Beautiful glassware from Bob Crooks Firstglass, known internationally for his lighting production and one off ranges, with many pieces in collections worldwide

I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition this year ... I think it has stepped up a notch as compared to the previous years. Tomorrow I'm off to Decorex International at The Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend ...

Here is a close up pic

... and even closer

Sorry for some strange reason, that first photo is not of very good quality, so I am re - posting the 1st image below for a better view ...

Breathtakingly regal ...

Wasn't the Prabal Gurung show amazing .... so much texture, colour and incredibly romantic.
It was captured amazingly by Jamie Beck on her blog from me to you ... she is so inspirational!

I hope you had a lovely weekend my friends. We went to the annual Alliance Ball, which raises money for UNICEF (this year focusing on the vaccination program for children world wide) and had a wonderful time being entertained by the Royal London Ballet, as well as the band Madness (remember them) ... so much fun.

PURPLE ...
favoured by those with good taste and
a liking for the arts,
a powerful colour signifying rank and royalty

is demanding and can be overwhelming if used in quantity

There's nothing wrong with being a little overpowering ... what do you think?

Have a beautiful Monday.

Eclectic French Style house ...

This South African 1907 Dunkeld farmhouse which belongs to Linda Notelovitz Goodall and Miles Goodall was designed by the help of heritage architect Rocco Bosman and was featured in House and Leisure, has me definitely drooling!
I'm loving the eclectic French style, the beautiful turquoise shutters and quirky art work.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend

Great home office inspiration ...

click photo to enlarge it

This room is really speaking to me at the moment. I dont know whether its because the weather is that much cooler ... but we all seem to gravitate towards darker colours when it starts to get colder.
Rich chocolate and ebony (which I've posted about before here) always does it for me and this room seems to be a lot cozier because of the colour scheme ... don't you think?
How fun are the two x-framed chairs with the sumptuous cable knit throws on top, love the pendant light ... and I'm a real sucker for trophy walls!

I would definitely love a home office like this ...

A little shopping ...

{Images: Iced VoVo's}

Hello lovely friends ... I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Last Friday, the girls and I went to Portobello Road market ... I prefer visiting on Friday ... less crowded with a nicer pace to observe everything.
I couldn't resist purchasing this beautiful silver handcrafted neck-piece, from Afghanistan.
I think it is so beautiful and may I add quite heavy!

I'm in love with it ...
