Glasgow weekend + a little culture ...

Hello lovely readers . Our weekend in Glasgow started late Friday night with dinner at the award winning seafood restaurant Gamba. The head chef and co-proprietor Derek Marshall even signed a copy of his book, Gamba: Simple Seafood Cooking for me.

Saturday we spent strolling along the river and visiting the newly opened, Zaha Hadid designed, Transport Museum ...

... which was truly amazing and well displayed

Lunch at the beautiful Corinthian Club, which I've always wanted to visit, and finally did ...

The architecture and modern art instillations at the Gallery of modern Art

And finally a little kilt shopping ...

The ceilidh was again very successful in raising lots of money for charity and as always we had a wonderful night catching up with our Scottish friends and dancing the night away.

  1. Is the ceiling really that green? Love it!
And what a great contrast to the Corinthian club - it looks amazing.

  2. Caroline - yes it is a real lime green ... which I know is your favourite colour!

  3. Thank you Marina! I felt like I was almost there with such a wonderful collection of photos. Loved, loved, loved my little "holiday". Virginia xx
