The last house that I am featuring which was on the Livingetc house tour is the spacious apartment found in a white stucco-fronted Victorian house, belonging to Sophie Conran (daughter of Sir Terence Conran).
Sitting beautifully in Cleveland Square, Bayswater London, it has an unassuming grandeur, full of colour flashes, iconic art and a magnificent red/orange carpeted entryway leading to the upstairs bedrooms.
The apartment is on three floors, flooded by natural light from the very large picture windows and is decorated with a mix of modern and antique furniture overlooking a pretty park. Sophie bought it back in 1985, in derelict condition and has made many changes over the years, which she shares with her two teenage children and banker husband.
The striking fuchsia pink wall in the kitchen makes a bold statement and is always a happy place to be in, especially as Sophie is a food supremo. Having written two cookbooks, she has her own brand of English pies (which you can buy at Selfridges), has designed a porcelain and glass collection for Portmeirion, a new range of cutlery product for Arthur Price and other collaborations which you can read about on her website.

My favourite room was her study/office, with an eclectic mix of furniture, the beautiful oak floor and amazing light fixtures. The light above the desk looks like a bunch of glass daisies and is from Rainbow London

Sophie has also collaborated with Arthouse to produce two beautiful wallpaper ranges.
Since this photograph was taken, the hallway wall is now papered in a vibrant yellow - Chantilly Mimosa, which is Sophies personal favourite wallpaper.
The combined living and dining space leads straight off the kitchen, flanked by three large picture windows
Coco's (daughter) bedroom is a very girly space ... found on the top floor of the apartment.
The master bedroom is located on the middle level ... a tranquil white space. Standing in the room, it had a cocoon effect, brought upon by the volume of fabric used in the curtains around the bed and the window treatment.
